Chilled Nestlé Milk Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of tea full of milk
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of powdered milk
  • 2 and ½ cups of wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Ingredients to prepare the Syrup

  • 150ml of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of condensed milk
  • For the Filling and Topping
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 ½ cups of powdered milk
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 box of cream

Preparation Method

  1. In a mixer, beat the eggs, sugar and margarine until you get a thick cream.
  2. Remove the bowl from the mixer and gradually mix in the wheat flour and powdered milk, alternating with the milk.
  3. Finally, add the baking powder and mix.
  4. Pour the batter into a 32cm x 22cm tall pan, greased and floured or lined with paper towels (see the video below).
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 200ºC for about 35 minutes.
  6. Remove the dough from the oven, wait for it to cool and unmold.
  7. Cut the cake into two equal parts and wet the bottom part with half of the syrup.
  8. Place a little more than half of the filling and cover with the other part of the cake.
  9. Poke holes in the dough with a fork and pour in the remaining syrup.
  10. Cover with the remaining filling and sprinkle with sifted powdered milk to taste.
  11. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  12. Serve chilled.

Syrup Preparation Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the milk and condensed milk.
  2. Refrigerate until ready to use in the cake.

How to Prepare the Filling and Topping

  1. In a mixer, beat the condensed milk, powdered milk, margarine and cream until doubled in volume.
  2. Refrigerate until ready to use in the cake.

Tip: If you want, cut the cake into pieces and wrap it in aluminum foil!
