  • 1 cup (tea) of boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 cups (tea) of sugar
  • 2 cups (tea) wheat flour
  • 1 cup of cocoa powder
  • 4 eggs

Preparation Method:

  1. In a bowl, mix the sugar, flour, chocolate and oil well.
  2. Then add the hot water, eggs, yeast and mix well.
  3. Grease a pan with butter and flour, pour in the batter, and bake in a medium oven for 40 minutes, or until the cake is cooked through.

Nutella brigadeiro filling and topping:

Ingredients:

  • 250 ml of milk
  • 300 g Nutella
  • 2 cans of condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 and ½ cups of cocoa powder

Preparation Method:

  1. In a large, tall saucepan, combine the cornstarch dissolved in the milk, the condensed milk, the butter and the cocoa powder.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it comes away from the bottom of the pan (brigadeiro consistency).
  3. When it comes away from the bottom of the pan, turn off the heat and mix in the Nutella.
  4. Transfer the filling to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap close to the cream and let it cool.
  5. Once cooled, refrigerate for about 1 hour.
  6. Use in the filling and/or topping with a piping bag and the nozzle of your choice.

Tip:

Before detaching from the pan, the brigadeiro will boil and rise a little, so it is necessary to use a large, tall pan.
