Chilled Nestlé Milk Cake
Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup of tea full of milk
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 1/2 cups of sugar
- 3 tablespoons of powdered milk
- 2 and ½ cups of wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
Ingredients to prepare the Syrup
- 150ml of milk
- 2 tablespoons of condensed milk
- For the Filling and Topping
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 1 ½ cups of powdered milk
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 box of cream
Preparation Method
- In a mixer, beat the eggs, sugar and margarine until you get a thick cream.
- Remove the bowl from the mixer and gradually mix in the wheat flour and powdered milk, alternating with the milk.
- Finally, add the baking powder and mix.
- Pour the batter into a 32cm x 22cm tall pan, greased and floured or lined with paper towels (see the video below).
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200ºC for about 35 minutes.
- Remove the dough from the oven, wait for it to cool and unmold.
- Cut the cake into two equal parts and wet the bottom part with half of the syrup.
- Place a little more than half of the filling and cover with the other part of the cake.
- Poke holes in the dough with a fork and pour in the remaining syrup.
- Cover with the remaining filling and sprinkle with sifted powdered milk to taste.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Serve chilled.
Syrup Preparation Method
- In a bowl, mix the milk and condensed milk.
- Refrigerate until ready to use in the cake.
How to Prepare the Filling and Topping
- In a mixer, beat the condensed milk, powdered milk, margarine and cream until doubled in volume.
- Refrigerate until ready to use in the cake.
Tip: If you want, cut the cake into pieces and wrap it in aluminum foil!
