Courtney Rogers is a mother of nine children and is pregnant with her tenth. Her oldest son is nine years old. Mother's Day was certainly a very exciting one. The mother shared what her routine is like with so many children:

"Besides having ten children in our family, the children are also very close in age. So close, in fact, that seven of them are the same age as one of their siblings at some point during the year. I've had two sets of twins and many pregnancies extremely close together. Our house is definitely full of noise, mess, and laughter. Both my husband and I are the oldest in large families; my mother had six children, and my mother-in-law had ten children. We were already talking about having children before we were even married and hadn't specified a number. I remember my husband suggesting ten because his mother had had ten. I laughed and thought I wouldn't be able to do it because I only had my first child when I was 26.

God must have heard my laughter, and in just 10 years of marriage, we've been blessed with 11 pregnancies. This includes seven singleton pregnancies, two twin pregnancies, two miscarriages, and one baby who's due soon!

Is it tiring to get pregnant so often? My body handles pregnancy well, and believe it or not, I still get very happy and excited every time I see a positive test! I usually find out I'm pregnant even before my period is late. Our family and friends are no longer surprised when we announce a pregnancy; everyone expects it. My husband isn't surprised anymore either; pregnancy is a normal part of our marriage. In fact, the strangest thing would be to go a few years without getting pregnant. That's never happened in our marriage.

Of course, taking care of so many small children is a huge challenge. And of course, sometimes they drive me crazy. But I can't imagine my life any other way. One of the biggest challenges is having so many children still in diapers. And finding more than one babysitter and having to book multiple hotel rooms at once, do a ton of laundry, and drive a 15-passenger van...etc.,etc. Oh, and did I mention other people's comments? What I find funniest is when they say, "Wow, you must have your hands full." When they see me with only two or three of my children!

But one positive aspect is always having more than one child on the same physical and mental level. Because of this, they're always playing together and doing things together. Another thing I really enjoy is the excitement for Christmas, birthdays, and family trips. I actually gave birth to a small party!

I get asked a lot if I plan to have more children…want to know the truth? The truth is, I don't know! Due to placenta previa and umbilical cord issues, I've already had two C-sections. But thanks to a great medical team, I was able to have vaginal deliveries after these C-sections. And my health is very good, so I can get pregnant and carry the pregnancy to term without any problems. And as long as there are no problems, we'll keep having children and celebrating each positive test and each incredible, unique life that comes with it! Children are a great blessing!
