For Carly's parents, receiving the news that their daughter had this disease was not easy. Progeria causes accelerated aging, seven times faster than normal. For your understanding, a 10-year-old child with progeria will physically resemble a 70-year-old.<\/p>\n
Another factor that raises the level of how difficult it is for a family to receive this diagnosis is that people who suffer from this rare condition have a low life expectancy, with girls being 14 years old and boys being 16 years old, according to the Fiocruz Institute.<\/p>\n
Carly's parents, Ryan Kudzia and Heather Unsinger, received this diagnosis when their daughter was 10 months old. They were desperate, devastated, and devastated by the revelation of the disease. However, the family began to consider the best way to live with this diagnosis and understood that the best thing they could do for Carly was to allow her to live every day to the fullest.<\/p>\n

Carly is currently 8 years old, physically fit like an adult of approximately 60, but this doesn't stop her from showing her will to live. Her family tries to understand and understand her needs so that Carly can make the most of her time and do whatever she wants, as the girl's mother explains.<\/p>\n
"Carly has more energy than anyone I know. What we try to do is understand what she needs. And that involves letting go of what you thought she needed and living in the moment."<\/i><\/b> explains Heather.<\/p>\n
