Learn how to make this delicious sponge cake batter, which requires only a few ingredients and has an incredible consistency. Sponge cake is the perfect combination: easy to make, delicious, and you'll even save a few bucks, as this recipe only requires four ingredients and water.<\/p>\n

For an afternoon coffee with friends and family, it's also a great option for birthday cake batter, wedding cakes... And for those who dream of having their own business, this recipe is an excellent alternative.<\/p>\n

Sponge Cake Dough<\/b><\/h1>\n

Ingredients<\/b><\/h2>\n
    \n
  • 4 eggs<\/li>\n
  • 2 cups of wheat flour<\/li>\n
  • 2 cups of sugar<\/li>\n
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder<\/li>\n
  • 1 cup of boiling water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Preparation Method<\/b><\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. With this dough you can make a light and delicious cake.<\/li>\n
    2. Separate 4 egg whites and 4 egg yolks.<\/li>\n
    3. Beat the egg whites until stiff and set aside.<\/li>\n
    4. In the largest bowl of the mixer, place the 4 egg yolks with 1 cup of boiling water and beat until very frothy.<\/li>\n
    5. Always beating and little by little, first add 2 cups of sugar.<\/li>\n
    6. After a few minutes, gradually add 2 cups of wheat flour and continue beating until smooth (approximately 10 minutes).<\/li>\n
    7. Turn off the mixer, add the baking powder and the beaten egg whites and, using a wooden spoon, mix gently in circular motions from bottom to top.<\/li>\n
    8. Spread margarine on the pan and sprinkle with wheat flour.<\/li>\n
    9. Pour the batter into the pan and tap the pan with the batter a few times on a hard surface to remove any air bubbles that could expand and cause the cake to break when unmolding.<\/li>\n
    10. Place in the oven, which should be at a high temperature, and leave to bake at this temperature for 10 minutes.<\/li>\n
    11. After 10 minutes, lower the temperature to medium and leave for approximately another 20 minutes.<\/li>\n
    12. To check if the cake is cooked, insert a toothpick into the middle of the cake. If it comes out moist, it needs more baking.<\/li>\n
    13. When it comes out dry, turn off the oven and remove the cake, being careful not to burn your hands.<\/li>\n
    14. Wait for it to cool before unmolding.<\/li>\n
    15. Use as a base for Swiss rolls, filled cakes, birthday cakes or trifles.<\/li>\n
