And it's true: grandparents are crucial for children's learning to share affection with others and socialize. They serve as a safe haven for children and a vital source of support for parents.

With grandparents around, children understand the definition of family and understand the different generations. Grandparents are usually on hand for the fun times and delicious meals.
Over time we grew up and were able to show them how important they were in our lives and how much they tried to please us.
Have you ever asked a grandmother what her grandchildren mean to her? Carmen, 68, talks about her grandson Joaquim:

"My daughter had trouble getting pregnant. Then, without realizing it, we received the news that my grandson was on the way. It was like coming alive! I already loved him with all my heart. When he finally came into our lives, I can't explain the emotion I felt. Today is my shining moment, the reason for many changes in my life. I even learned about soccer to keep up with him! What can I say? Being a grandmother is the best thing that ever happened to me."
Grandparents are very good for their grandchildren, but grandchildren are also very good for their grandparents. Some feel better from all the pain they felt, forget about illnesses, and feel happier and more fulfilled. See how important it is to be a grandparent!
1. Relive good times
The arrival of a baby really helps grandparents remember when they were parents and the entire process of raising their children, the good and bad times and everything they went through until they had grandchildren.
2. Learn
They learn new games, songs, drawings and hobbies, so that they are aware of everything that pleases children and they enter a totally new world.
3. Enjoy good times
They are always trying to please their grandchildren and thus have more fun than them, they are willing to enjoy the time they have with those they love.
4. Teach
He has the tranquility and calm to teach children to do their chores, make their beds and wash the dishes. Many don't listen or don't have patience with the elderly, but children generally do!
So grandparents, enjoy your grandchildren, it's very good for your health and theirs too.
