When it comes to math, chances are it's the most hated subject by a large number of people, especially children and young people in school. There's still a small percentage who enjoy it. This is due to the many calculations it involves and its incredible ability to trick the brain.
The problem is that even if you are or have been an expert in the subject, you may still encounter many difficulties due to the many rules that exist in this mysterious subject.

There's an online quiz about mathematical calculations; according to experts, about 94% of those who attempted it got it wrong. This is because people thought it was a very simple calculation. However, it may not be that simple.
So! let's do the math; see if you can do it: 7 + 7 ÷ 7 + 7 x 7 – 7=
What is the correct answer? a) 00 b) 08 w) 50 d) 56

A huge percentage of people say the answer is either "A" or "D." What about you? If you answered either of these, you're wrong!
Some choose 56 as the result, they certainly usually do the calculation from left to right, but unfortunately they forget to respect the order of mathematical operations.
Look; 7+7 = 14, 14÷7 = 2, 2+7 = 9, 9×7 = 63, and finally, 63-7= 56. So, through this answer we can conclude that it would be alternative “D”, right? Wrong.
Those who believe the answer is zero do the math using the same technique, but when they get to the end, they subtract 7 by 7 and find zero. They think that the number found up to the last operation multiplied by zero can only be zero. Wrong.
So what is the correct answer anyway?
The correct answer is one most people find most unlikely: letter "C." And there's a reason for that: there's a specific order to solving the calculation. First, you need to perform division or multiplication, then addition, and finally subtraction.
However, to perfectly solve this calculation, you must follow the following reasoning: 7÷7 = 1, 7×7 = 49. Solving the division and multiplication operations, the calculation would be: 7 + 1 + 49 – 7. The result of this is 50.
It's not difficult. The important thing to get this or any other calculation right is to remember the rules of signs: 1. Solve multiplication or division, 2. Addition and subtraction. See:
7 + 7 ÷ 7 + 7 x 7 – 7=
7 + (7 ÷ 7) + (7 x 7) – 7=
7+1+49-7=
57-7=
50
